All Wisconsin needed was the great hands and even better moves of wide out Lee Evans. He caught a school-record five touchdown passes to help the Badgers beat Michigan State 56-21. Along with the most touchdown catches in one game, Evans broke the school record for most touchdown catches in a season (12), most receiving yards in a game (258), and the most touchdown catches in a career (26). Spartans' coach John L. Smith said it best, "We were embarrassed."
