Oliver Purnell got his first win tonight as the Tigers defeated Gardner-Webb by a final score of 86-55. Chris Hobbs was the leading scorer for Clemson with 17. It was the largest margin of victory by a Clemson coach in his first game since 1916.
After the men's game ended at Littlejohn, the Lady Tigers defeated South Carolina by a final of 103-99 in a game that went to overtime.
