Red Wings preview

With the regular NHL season just around the corner I thought I'd take a look at the Red Wing'schances this season. Phil Coffey has listed two Wings as part of the top 5 defensemen in the NHL (Lidstrom and Hatcher) and Rob Picarello listed Hasek as one of the top 5 goalies. Jiri Hudler is listed as one of the rookies to watch. Despite this, it is MY PERSONAL OPINION that the Wings are now in their "rebuilding" phase and we should not expect the Stanley Cup any time soon. In the preseason action I saw, the Wings looked slow and sloppy. I hope they prove me wrong.
