OSU's Reynolds Lacks Class

After watching Georgia trounce Tennessee, I flipped over to the Ohio State at Wisconsin game. By that point Wisconsin was using Matt Schabert, their backup quarterback, after Jim Sorgi, their starter, was injured in a questionable play.

After seeing replays of the injury, it was clear that Robert Reynolds of Ohio State had his hands on Sorgi's throat and was pushing down on it after the play was over. Sorgi was removed from the game after having his adam's apple crushed that way by Reynolds because he couldn't make any play calls with that injury.

I even stayed up to watch the postgame news conferences on ESPN News and OSU Coach Jim Tressel brushed off a question about it by saying he didn't see it. Wisconsin Coach Barry Alvarez wouldn't answer a question about it and just said the tape spoke for itself.

Reynolds also was running his mouth and trying to start something after the last two plays of the game as Wisconsin was downing the ball. Reynolds should be suspended for at least one game by the Big Ten or, barring that, by Ohio State.

I'm not a Wisconsin fan or an Ohio State fan so I didn't have a dog in the fight. However, Reynolds' behavior made me glad the Badgers defeated the Buckeyes.
