As an attendee of that (sold out) game, I have to say that was as exciting as any college or professional basketball game I've ever been to.
Not just because of the crowd enthusiasm, but the game itself. It was up-tempo, it was high-scoring but not lacking in defense, and it was very physical. And L.A. proved to be lacking in grace and blamed their loss on the refs (just like the guys!).
