Time to beat on a few players who, after two weeks, may have made some bad decisions.
I wish I could feel bad for Emmitt Smith, but after drubbing the Bills in two Superbowls my heart is hardened. The (statistically speaking) greatest running back of all time didn't hear the bell ringing and now he is trapped in the NFL version of Hell. I think Emmitt still has something left in the tank, but his ego wouldn't permit him to be a number two running back. Oh, be careful what you wish for Mr. Smith, You are still a number one back, but on an AFL team. Reminds me of OJ in San Fran, or Thurman playing six plays in Miami. I know they can't all go out like Elway, but it would be nice.
Speaking of bad, I wonder how Brian Urlacher is feeling? Awesome player, class guy, basically signed for life (or until 2011), and destined to suffer the vast majority of those years. Looking back on Urlachers big signing day, he said "I don't see anything better anywhere else." I see one frustrated linebacker by the middle of next year.
Nice work Peerless! Two more catches last week doubles your season total. Not to worry though, Laveranues Coles only had 180 yards playing opposite you, and I'm sure no one is making comparisons between you two big ticket free agents. The Tampa Bay defense will, I'm sure, be more accomodating to your single-coverage wishes. In other Atlanta news, Washington Post columnist Michael Wilbon called Atlanta fans the worst in sports on Monday. The AJC put up a poll, and basically Atlantans agreed they suck. Hmmm.
Gotta give some props somewhere, and they have to go to the Patriots. They came back last week and absolutely stomped Philadelphia. I did not see that coming at all. The Pats showed me that they have some serious bad-ass leaders on that team who are tough and accountable. I am not looking forward to playing them in Foxboro this year.

I have to take offense to your Atlanta Slight. I have been a fan for years. But in this state we also follow College Football like no other. UGA sells out 90,000 tickets for UGA vs just about anyone.
But when you have a terrible product on the field it is hard to spend hard earned cash, when there are other options.
Now finally the product is good, and I can not afford season tickets now. Oh well.
And do not give me the talk about the Braves, this town is a football town, if given a reason to be one. The Braves would do better if it did not cost 100 dollars to take a family of 4 to the game, and another 100 to get them something to drink and eat. Not to mention their annual Playoff Choke.
