Joyce Wins Back Up Role

Head Coach Jim Fassel has given Delvin Joyce the backup RB job behind Tiki Barber.

"In my opinion, he is the second-best running back we have on this team," coach Jim Fassel said after practice Monday.

"Everyone on our coaching staff shares the same exact opinion. There isn't a dissenting vote on that."

The 5-foot-7, 195 lb back out of James Madison University is smaller than Barber, however, the Giants will be expecting big things out of him.

So far he has lead the team in rushing during the preseason, averaging 4.0 yards gaining 107 yards on 27 carries.
