Helton Misses Batting Crown On Walk

ESPN notes that an intentional walk cost Todd Helton a chance at the batting crown. Bryan thinks it's bush league, but in the defense of the Pardres, manager Bruce Bochy was ejected earlier in the game and the bench coaches were not aware of the situation.

Hey, I know Bochy got boote... (Below threshold)

Hey, I know Bochy got booted earlier. (which brings up the side note of what the heck are you doing getting booted from an absolutely MEANINGLESS late September game?) But still, what possible use is an intentional walk in the 7th inning of such a meaningless game, I don't care who you are. They knew the race was tight, they just didn't know HOW tight. That's the *definition* of bush league.
