Packers Cuts

The three most notable players Green Bay cut today were QB Akili Smith, TE Tyrone Davis, and DT Steve Warren. Smith and Davis either were injured or had awful pre-seasons. As for Warren, I'm not sure why he was cut. Coaches must think Gilbert Brown can play a significant number of plays even with a torn bicep. However, I won't be surprised if the Packers pick up another defensive lineman for depth.
