Good News for Colts

Lots of good news out of last night's pre-season victory for the Indianapolis Colts over the Denver Broncos. The Indianapolis Star reports,

If Monday night was a reliable yardstick, the Colts are ready for the Sept. 7 regular-season opener at Cleveland.

The Peyton Manning-led No. 1 offense played into the third quarter. It generated 229 yards and three touchdowns on 38 plays, and showed some resiliency by overcoming two inefficient possessions to start the game.

"We overcame a little adversity, a lot of which we created ourselves," coach Tony Dungy said. "But we were able to overcome it on the road and that's a good sign."

Manning completed 15-of-22 passes for 157 yards and touchdown passes of 14 yards to rookie tight end Dallas Clark and 53 yards to running back Brian Allen.
