Danny Wuerffel Cut - Finally!

Danny Wuerffel is not now and will never be a pro quarterback. Spurrier's loayalty to Wuerffel was finally nixed by Dan Synder. When Synder is know as the level headed Redskin executive, that's not a good sign...

From the Washington Post

The Washington Redskins decided today to release quarterback Danny Wuerffel and running back Kenny Watson as part of their final roster cuts for the regular season.

Coach Steve Spurrier said that the club will enter the season with only two quarterbacks -- starter Patrick Ramsey and veteran backup Rob Johnson -- on the 53-man roster. According to Spurrier, the team intends to re-sign rookie quarterback Gibran Hamdan, who was told today he would be released, to the five-man practice squad. Spurrier called Hamdan, a seventh-round draft pick from Indiana, his third-string quarterback, although Hamdan won't be in uniform on game days and won't be able to play if Ramsey and Johnson get hurt during a game.

I think Dan Snyder sucks. You screwed up when you released Danny Wuerffel and Steve Spurrier told you where to stick it. You'll never see a Super Bowl without them on your team. GOOD LUCK

Wrong. I guarantee if you put him in a system like the Rams he'll put up better numbers than Bulger. If he gets another chance, he'll prove that he's an NFL quarterback.
