Clarett Update (yawn)

Here's the latest on the never-ending saga of Maurice Clarett. He'll miss at least three games for the defending National Champion OSU Buckeyes. This was deduced by the AP reporter when Athletic Director Andy Geiger told him that the number would be "more than two" games. Persistent reports suggest however, that the suspension will be for closer to six games.

Tom Reed at the Akron Beacon Journal thinks Coach Jim Tressel has taken too low a profile throughout the Clarett affair. In my opinion, Tressel has been right to concentrate on football, and his team's preparation, and has stepped back to allow the AD to handle the NCAA investigation.

Meanwhile, there will still be a game held on Saturday night at the Horseshoe, and even though some U. of Washington players are talking trash, this contributor predicts a two touchdown win for the Buckeyes, helped along by at least one blocked kick by the Scarlet and Gray.
