Can the Tigers pull it off?

Well, if you are going to suck...

you might as well be the best at sucking. As of yesterday the Detroit Tigers are 1 loss away from a 100 loss season, and there magic number for clinching last place is 4. If they clinch before Monday they will become the first team in Major League history to do so in August. The current record was set in 1901 by the Philedelphia A's, they clinched on September 1st.

Having lost any enthusiasm I have not followed the Tigers at all this season so I really can't comment on what the future holds. I do feel for Trammell and the rest of the crew, it's been a rough first year for them.
