Bills Get Busy

The Bills released three additional players today to get to the league mandated roster of 65.

Those cut were: Andre Rone (WR, Missippi), De'Mond Parker (RB, Oklahoma) and, in a mild surprise, Brandon Spoon who started 14 games his rokkie year while filling in for an injured Sam Cowart.

I thought Spoons experience would help him stay through this round of cuts, but the injuries and the steady play of some youngsters like Dominique Stevenson (Tennessee) sealed his fate.

Technically the Bills roster now stands at 66 active players because of an NFL Europe exemption granted to Ken Simonton. That's right BAY-BEE, we have the Scotland Claymores leading rusher. Suck on that Berlin!

In addition, Willis McGahee was placed on the Reserve/Non Football Injury list. That means McGahee can begin practicing with the team any time after week six and before week ten. The Bill have three weeks from his first practice to decided to activate him or sit him for the year. More on McGahee later folks...
